ROSTER SELECTION
As an affiliated club sport on campus, we are allowed an unlimited number of athletes within the club. OIWFA league rules do not limit roster size, however they do set a maximum number of players for each game that can participate, that is set at 18. Furthermore the league has rules on the minimum number of games athletes can participate in, and be eligible for post-season play.
Here is our plan for 2019:
Here is our plan for 2019:
- We will conduct player evaluations August 24 & 25, and if needed August 29
- We will set our initial list of 20 - OIWFA players following the completion of the pre-season games on Labour Day Monday. Athletes not selected in the initial list of 20, are still considered members of the club and can be added to the OIWFA list at a later time. All athletes are welcome to attend all practices and events. OIWFA games are limited to the maximum roster of 18. We would plan to bring all 20 players to each series.
- At present we do not anticipate a charge to play/participate in the club for 2019/2020. However, a deposit for uniforms is required. All OIWFA players will also need to have black ball pants, team issued socks, and if possible a black, or black and white helmet.
- All club athletes are expected to be available for "team activities" during season and off-season as well. Events would include camps, clinics, community events etc.
